It seems that many are becoming numb to things that in times past would have bothered them to no end. Many are beginning to tolerate certain acts that a few years ago would have been unheard of, and yet few are willing to take a stand. Day in and day out we are bombarded with cursing, sexual content, acts that are against nature, and the list could go on.
In Ezekiel 22:30 the Bible reads, “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.” God was looking for a man to stand up to the evil that was happening. He looked for a man, but not a one was found.
Christians have an obligation to stand up and defend the truth (1 Peter 3:15), regardless of what may come. Peter and the other apostles summed it up well in Acts 5:29, when they said, “we ought to obey God rather than men.” It is apparent that man has a way and God has away. However, Gods way is the only one that matters.
The question is will you be willing to stand in the gap? It has been said, “all evil needs to abound is for good men to do nothing.” Folks, it is time to stand up for what is right and stop allowing evil abound.
